Yoram Bauman is an environmental economist and until 2015 was a carbon tax Fellow at Sightline Institute, where he co-authored Tax Shift with Alan Durning. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Washington and works in Washington State and elsewhere on climate change economics and policy, especially carbon pricing. He is the founder of Carbon Washington, a revenue-neutral carbon tax ballot measure campaign currently gathering signatures in Washington State. His writings have appeared in local and national newspapers, including the NY Times, and his most recent academic paper (“Climate sensitivity: should the climate tail wag the policy dog?”) was co-authored with UW climate scientist Gerard Roe and appeared in the April 2013 issue of Climatic Change.
