PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2008 to present
Consulting engineer for renewable solid and liquid fuels. Technical representative for the National Biodiesel Board in the northeastern United States. Provides energy and environmental technical support to State and local government agencies, not-for-profit organizations and industry. Provide technical assistance and document translations to German and Austrian manufacturers of solid biomass-fired, combustion systems who are seeking to enter the US/Canada market. Also provides technical assistance to US companies relating to product development and emissions testing of solid biomass-fired boiler systems. Also serves as technical consultant to the Biomass Thermal Energy Council.

1978 to 2008
Managed the heating research program for residential, commercial and industrial buildings at NYSERDA. Program included the development of new burners, boilers, furnaces and controls in cooperation with New York State manufacturers. Program also included testing and demonstration of ultra-low sulfur heating oil and biodiesel blends in residential and commercial buildings, also industrial and steam-cycle, power generation applications.

1970 to 1980
Served as 1LT (Infantry) in the United States Army (active plus reserve duty). Graduate of U.S. Army Infantry Officer School at Fort Benning, Georgia.
