This paper mentions, evaluates and gives suggestions on some of the United States government programs that promote clean energy. It also shows the programs effectiveness and cost. The reason the United States was chosen as an example is due to the fact that it is the world’s largest investor in clean and renewable energy and can be used as a model demonstrating what happens when the government, not the free market is the main promoter of a clean and renewable energy program.
