Description (excerpt):

Few states have benefited more from the wind industry than Colorado. Thanks to smart policy decisions, beginning with passage of the first voter-approved state renewable portfolio standard in 2004, as well as abundant natural resources and skilled workers, Colorado has transformed itself into a leader for wind and other renewable energy sources. Colorado is now the top state for wind manufacturing jobs and ranks third for wind jobs overall.

But Colorado today is at a crossroads. In order to adequately support what has become a major sector of the state’s economy, and remain a national front-runner in clean, renewable energy, Colorado’s leaders need to take action with policy opportunities that are good for its economy and good for its environment.
