Description (excerpt):

Michigan’s Energy Optimization (EO) standard, created under Public Act 295 of 2008 (PA 295 or the Act), requires all natural gas and electric utility providers in the state to implement programs to reduce overall energy usage by specified targets, in order to reduce the future cost of service to utility customers. This report complies with Sections 95 and 97 of the Act addressing the implementation of EO programs and the cost-effectiveness of EO and Renewable Energy (RE) standards.
