Sijbren de Jong is Strategic Analyst at the Hague Centre for Strategic Studiesand PhD Candidate at the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies. His work focuses on the EU’s energy policy, particularly with regard to natural gas both in relation to the Union’s internal market and external relations with hydrocarbon suppliers/transiters such as Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan. Next to his work at the Centre, Sijbren is editor of the energy section of REVOLVE magazine.
