Areas of Expertise:

I am trained as a casualty actuary (BS in math from St. Olaf, Master's, MS from Univ. of Ill - Chicago, Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society). I have done insurance modeling and analysis for many years. In 2005, I became interested in the issue of limited oil supply, because I was aware that oil limits could affect financial institutions, including insurance companies and banks. I originally wrote only about the issue from the point of insurance companies. I became a volunteer for TheOilDrum.com website in 2007, to write about the subject more generally. I have written literally hundreds of articles since them. This is a link to an article I wrote published in the journal Energy called, Oil Supply LImits and the Continuing Financial Crisis. My blog where most of the articles I write now is OurFiniteWorld.com.
