Andrew Gilligan works as a Senior Associate at a solar finance firm, Sol Systems, that specializes in solar project finance and Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) trading. He has been there for the past 2 years and has helped the company grow into the largest SREC aggregator in the country and a leading financial services firm within the solar industry. Currently, Mr. Gilligan oversees developer and investor relationships for companies looking to build and finance commercial and utility scale solar projects in North America, helping to close 5 unique deals, totaling over $40 M in investment, in 2012. He leads a team of associates in underwriting solar projects to determine the expected IRR and potential risk factors, ultimately presenting the opportunity to the appropriate investors depending on this analysis. He was personally responsible for securing commitments of up to $400 M in project-level equity and debt, contingent upon an investment satisfying certain return requirements.

Mr. Gilligan graduated from Georgetown University manga cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, specializing in Energy studies, and a certificate in Business Diplomacy. He also helped create and launch Georgetown Energy, a student-run consulting group, and completed several internships, including one at the U.S. Climate Action Network (USCAN).
