September 2013 he completed a two year Mike Mansfield Fellowship in Japan, where he worked at: METI and NEDO for 5 months each, ending with a placement at JPower, Japan’s former national electric utility. At the U.S. Department of Energy he serves as a Technology Manager in the Office of Renewable Energy in the Fuel Cells Technologies Program where he is responsible for international relationships and is exploring the economics of using hydrogen for energy storage while serving as a liaison to the DOE Grid Tech Team focused on grid modernization and lowering the barriers for renewable energy integration.
