Yingxin Gu received her PhD in geology from Michigan Tech University and has worked as a senior scientist at SAIC and ASRC, contractors to the U. S. Geological Survey Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS) since 2006. Dr. Gu has extensive experiences on satellite remote sensing applications on terrestrial ecosystem monitoring, biofuel feedstock identification and sustainability assessments, and climate and land use change impacts on ecosystem and carbon sequestration. Dr. Gu has a number of publications (>20) that published in several scientific journals, she has served as peer reviewers for many scientific journals, and she is one Editorial Board Member for the journal of IMS Energy.
