Biography
Larry Guinta is Chief Technology and Advanced Science Officer for AZ-Tech International, Inc., located in Scottsdale, Arizona. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology and has over 35 years of business and technical experience in the fields of mechanical design, electrical power generation, microgrid integration, advanced control systems and specialized computer, Cyber and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA). His extensive work experience is comprised of management positions in research, development, software, control systems, manufacturing and technical sales in the automotive, aerospace, defense and medical industries.

Mr. Guinta’s advancements in Geomagnetic Destruction (GMD) and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) mitigation technology have enabled him to become a leading authority on the phenomenon. His research has resulted in the application of multiple patents for minimizing the effects of these devastating insults on facilities and critical infrastructure. Other patents include highly specialized secure Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems. His AZ-Tech team has developed advanced building design and construction and microgrid techniques enabling existing and new structures to withstand and continue functioning after exposure to GMD or EMP.

Mr. Guinta is a requested speaker to organizations dealing with infrastructure sustainability, building design, resiliency and continuity of operations. He is a published author and co-developed numerous scientific patents specializing in anti-terrorism and risk analysis for the DOE, DOD, and has worked on highly specialized and sensitive projects for these agencies including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA).
