Andy Zheng is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of California (UC), Berkeley. His main research interest is energy policy in the global solar photovoltaic industry, with a focus on the role of R&D funding, innovation, and deployment incentives in the United States. In addition, he also conducts experiments to explore ways to recrystallizing thin silicon film for photovoltaic applications.
