Dr. Wolfgang Bauer is a University Distinguished Professor of physics at Michigan State University, where he was chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy for more than 12 years. He is co-author of the textbook “University Physics” (McGraw-Hill, 2013, 2nd ed.). He has done consulting work on energy topics for oil companies and Wall Street. He co-owns two companies in the energy sector, which specialize in biogas power production and in operating photovoltaic installations.
