Beth came to the National Academies as a Christine Mirzayan Fellow in Science and Technology Policy after completing a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Princeton University. At the National Research Council, the operating arm of the Academies, she works within the Board on Energy and Environmental Systems on vehicle energy efficiency technology studies, both in research as well as project management roles. Additionally, she examines emerging areas of energy policy of interest to BEES. Beth grew up in Iowa and continues to be interested in the impacts and innovations of energy policy in the states.
