Washington, DC based attorney and public policy consultant specializing in energy and environmental issues. John has held senior policy positions in the U.S. Senate, the Illinois General Assembly and the Chicago Board of Education. In addition to his government and legal background, John recently completed a master’s degree in public policy at the University of Chicago with a concentration on energy policy (MPP), and a master’s degree in international energy and environmental policy (MIPP) from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. As a graduate student, he conducted legal research on foreign investment in East Africa for the World Resources Institute. He also completed an analysis of village electricity grids in developing countries for a Rockefeller Foundation project to promote renewable power in developing countries. He's been actively involved in water resource issues related to electricity generation as a member of the Great Lakes Commission Energy-Water Taskforce.
