Marshall Geck is an Energy Associate at The Climate Reality Project. He supports research, programs, and campaigns as they relate to conventional and clean energy technologies, policies, markets, economics, and finance. Marshall joined the Climate Reality Project after completing a master’s in Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford. In addition to providing a European perspective on many environmental issues, Marshall’s course also gave him an opportunity to partner with a professor to publish an academic article proposing a more-effective international legal framework for addressing climate change (see Climate Policy, Volume 13, Issue 6). Prior to obtaining his master’s, Marshall worked for an environmental consulting firm called Eastern Research Group, where he supported a variety of projects and programs for U.S. government clients (particularly the U.S. EPA). As an undergraduate, he completed dual degrees in English and Environmental Economics & Policy, both at the University of California, Berkeley. In his spare time, Marshall enjoys board sports, traveling, creative writing, and all things German.
