Saeger is the Director of the Western Values Project--an organization devoted to holding industry and elected officials accountable to a balanced approach to energy development on American public lands. He comes to the organization following years of grassroots organizing, research, and campaigning throughout the American West. That experience includes serving as the Communications Director for the Montana Department on Environmental Quality, where he worked on coal mine permitting, state implementation of the Clean Power Plan and a host of other energy planning issues. He has also experienced age-old debates about natural resources as a participant in hotly contested statewide elections and as a lifelong sportsman and angler.
