Michael's interest in energy policy sparked when he worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) on projects related to hydro-electricity, large and small scale bio-digesters and energy-efficient building design and renovation. With that interest and his knowledge of state and local legislative and regulatory process, he built a startup-focused energy and cleantech policy practice as a cornerstone of MOB Advocacy. Michael has guided startups through their challenges in working with state and local governments on issues related to biomass, solar, wind, electric vehicles, ev infrastructure solutions and building efficiency solutions.
