Denise Furey has over 25 years of experience working for financial institutions structuring and/or analyzing debt instruments issued primarily by energy and utility companies. She has worked on transactions for both investor owned and public sector entities. She he started Regent Square Advisors, a consulting firm, which offers research products focusing on financial, political and regulatory issues faced by clients operating in the energy and utility arenas.

Most recently she was with Citigroup as a sell-side fixed income analyst covering electric power, oil and natural gas companies. Primary responsibility was to write and publish investment recommendations and fundamental credit opinions of companies within the sectors. Prior to Citigroup she was with Fitch Rating, Enron Corporation and MBIA Insurance Corporation in various capacities. Ms. Furey, also, was with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission participating in the regulation of investment companies. Additionally, she has testified before regulatory commissions and served as a guest lecturer at industry conferences and educational institutions discussing various topics affecting energy and utility companies.

Ms. Furey holds an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BSFS in International Politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
