Laura Wang is a current U.S. State Department Fulbright-Clinton Fellow, working in Samoa at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on climate and renewable energy policy. In addition to her work at the Ministry, Laura is also conducting research on opportunities for distributed generation in Samoa as a means to meet the country's 100% RE by 2017 goal. Previously, Laura was a Policy Associate at the Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) in D.C., where she focused on renewable energy projects and policies in developing countries (primarily Southeast Asia), drawing upon lessons learned and experiences in the U.S. on the subject. Laura was also a Executive Fellow for Renewable Energy with California Governor Jerry G. Brown Jr.'s office, supporting the administration's many clean energy and climate goals. Laura has also worked at the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) and Surfrider Foundation, a California-based nonprofit supporting coastal and marine protection issues.

Laura is a Democratic National Committee (DNC) Hope Institute Fellow, a Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) Fellow, and a Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF) scholarship recipient. She has a Masters degree and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California (USC), where she was a Trustee Scholar.
