Dr. Hovsapian spent over 20 years working for General Dynamics, TRW, Northrop Grumman, research faculty for the Florida State University - Mechanical Engineering department and as program manager at the Center for Advanced Power Systems for the Electric Ship Research and Development Consortium (ESRDC) for the Office of Naval Research. Currently he works at the Idaho National Laboratory as a Department manager for Power and Energy Systems group. He has a number of publications in the fields of energy systems, thermodynamics optimization, thermal modeling, wind energy and controls. He has been responsible for the successful establishment / deployment of several advanced manufacturing startup facilities globally, working on multiple continents and with many cultures, which produced sophisticated defense electronics, complex automotive systems, advanced semiconductors and energy systems. He received his Masters of Science in Controls and Ph.D. in Energy systems from the Mechanical Engineering department at Florida State University.
