Abbey is currently pursuing a Master's in International Policy at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Abbey managed EDF’s clean energy projects in New York City, and liaised with the New York City Mayor’s Office, City agencies, and City Council. She also worked with environmental and community groups, particularly those working on energy efficiency in buildings. Previously, she managed EDF’s involvement in the NYC Clean Heat program, coordinating the day-to-day activity in partnership with the City of New York.

Before coming to Environmental Defense Fund, Abbey worked as a fellow with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability on the development of the NYC Clean Heat program and other New York City sustainability work.
