Robert Gurman is an experienced finance professional in the clean energy, renewable energy, and project & infrastructure finance space, having closed over $25 billion of transactions in his 30+ year career. Particular areas of interest are microgrids, EV (charging infrastructure, grid impact and eMobility), solar, energy efficiency for real estate, and the nascent US offshore wind sector. His most recent clients include New York Green Bank, New York State Energy Research & Development Authority, Standard & Poor’s Global Intelligence, Astoria Energy, JEMB Realty Corp., Kirkland & Ellis, and Mid-Continent Independent System Operator. He is a co-founder, and on the Investment Committee, of Mariner Capital-International Infrastructure Finance Company Funds 1 & 2, and serves as Chairman of the Utilities Debt Securitization Authority, an appointee of NY State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo for the securitization of $5 billion of debt of Long Island Power Authority.
