I am a retired chemical engineer (2009, Saudi Aramco). I am the Inaugural Chair of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Climate Solutions Community. In southeast Texas, I was the 2019 Chair of the AIChE South Texas Section, the largest local section of the AIChE on the planet, based in Houston. I have served in several AIChE local and institute level positions. I am also a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). In the ASTM, I am a member of E50.07 Climate and Community Subcommittee. In the AAAS, I am becoming engaged with leadership on climate solutions. In the ACS, I am connected with Angela Wilson, 2021 President Elect and hope to engage with ACS leadership on climate solutions
