Description (excerpt):

In this report we examine emissions of carbon dioxide from all utility and non-utility fossil fuel-fired power plants in the United States in 2012. We derive emissions data from fuel consumption figures reported to the U.S. Department of Energy and estimates of the carbon content of each fuel source developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
