Faith Martinez Smith is an Environmental Permitting Specialist
at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). She is in the Industrial Permitting Section of the Water Quality Division within the TCEQ's Office of Water. She assists with permitting amendments while writing and analyzing technical permits for industrial activities such as produced water, hydrostatic test water, and gas plant effluent.

Previously (2018-2020), she was a Policy Analyst at ClearPath, managing the organization's energy storage, geothermal, and hydropower portfolios. In that role, she was an advocate for energy decarbonization, natural resources, water, and the environment through effective policy and legislative analysis.
