Karl Rabago is the executive director of the Pace Energy and Climate Center at the Pace University Law School in White Plains, New York. Karl has more than 24 years leadership experience in the electric utility sector. He has served as a public utility commissioner for the state of Texas, a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Utility Technologies at the US Department of Energy, a Vice President with the Austin Energy (the City of Austin, Texas' municipal electric utility), a director of global regulatory affairs for the AES Corporation and AES Wind, a managing director with the Rocky Mountain Institute, and a non-profit energy program manager. Karl is best known for his work in renewable energy and energy efficiency policy development and program leadership. He is an attorney with a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, a juris doctorate degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, and post-doctorate degrees in military and environmental law. Karl served honorably in the US Army for more than 12 years, as an Armored Cavalry officer and as a Judge Advocate.
