Beia Spiller is an Economist at the Environmental Defense Fund. She received her Masters in Public Policy from Unvirsidad Torcuato di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a PhD in Economics from Duke University, and has been working in environmental policy ever since. Her main focus is on energy economics- analyzing the impacts of environmental policy or lack thereof on consumer behavior, property and asset values, and environmental outcomes. She also has worked on oceans and transportation policy.
