Atlantic Council – Securing the Energy and Critical Infrastructure Sectors from Cyberattacks

Please join the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center from 4:00 – 5:30 PM ET for a public virtual event featuring keynote remarks from former Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson on cybersecurity and the energy transition. Secretary Johnson’s remarks will be followed by a panel with leaders in the finance and energy industries.

As the energy system becomes increasingly digital and distributed, energy infrastructure faces greater exposure to cyberthreats. But the benefits of the digital energy ecosystem don’t need to come at the cost of cybersecurity. This event will explore strategies for the private and public sectors to work together to achieve a more complete understanding of the cyber risk profile of critical energy assets, along with actionable solutions to mitigate those risks. This conversation is particularly relevant in light of the recent Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack.
