Berkeley Lab – Starting with Solar: A Preliminary Assessment of Solar Energy Systems in Residential New Construction Grace
Please join us for a free webinar highlighting key information from the new Berkeley Lab report entitled “Starting with Solar: A Preliminary Assessment of Solar Energy Systems in Residential New Construction.”
Encouraging increased solar adoption in new homes nationwide might significantly increase carbon-free energy use, but the drivers of the new solar home market have not been well studied. In this webinar, panelists from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will discuss their recently completed investigation of the new solar home market inside and outside of California through 2020. They investigated historical deployment trends of solar on over 500,000 new homes built through 2020 across 19 states and the District of Columbia as well as the characteristics of those homes and the installed solar systems.
We appreciate the funding support of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Technologies Office.
