Clean Energy States Alliance – Advancing Solar for Manufactured Homes through Community Solar
Manufactured homes, formerly known as mobile homes, comprise over 6% of the country’s housing stock and represent an even larger share of housing for low-and-moderate-income (LMI) families. Community solar projects have seen success across the country in bringing the benefits of solar to LMI homeowners, including those living in manufactured housing. However, because of cost and trust issues, it can be difficult for developers to deploy community solar – even with free subscriptions – to LMI households living in manufactured homes.
In this Clean Energy States Alliance webinar, panelists will share more information about how community solar can be used to bring the benefits of solar to manufactured homes; how to engage with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Community Solar Partnership (NCSP); and successful examples of community solar projects that have benefitted manufactured homes and communities.
