Community-Led Energy Resilience: Lessons from the Clean Energy Incentive Navigator

As federal funding opportunities, incentives, and information for clean energy dwindle, communities committed to decarbonization need clear, localized information on available incentives and clean energy technologies.

Clean Energy Group awarded funding to organizations in six cities (Baltimore, Boulder, Buffalo, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Kaunakakai) to become Clean Energy Incentive Navigators. Navigator organizations are local knowledge hubs for solar and battery storage (solar+storage) technologies and available incentives, so that they can support community members that are developing and seeking funding for solar+storage projects. Navigator organizations conducted regional outreach and engagement on solar+storage, and they developed learning materials geared towards their community’s needs. In this Clean Energy Group webinar, five of the Navigator partners will present on what they learned through this experience, what resources they developed, and what advice they have for other communities seeking to build momentum around resilient power in the current climate. CEG’s Anna Adamsson will moderate.
