Future Focused | Global Hydrogen Outlook: Insights from the IEA

The hydrogen sector is becoming more selective about which projects move forward, where investment concentrates, and how today’s policy and infrastructure choices will shape hydrogen’s role in modern energy systems. The latest analysis from the International Energy Agency (IEA) shows a market that is recalibrating, not retreating.

In this Future Focused session, GTI Energy’s Kristine Wiley will be joined by José Miguel Bermúdez Menéndez, Energy Technology Analyst at the IEA, to explore what the past year’s developments signal for the next stage of hydrogen deployment. Drawing on the 2025 Global Hydrogen Review, he will provide insights on how infrastructure planning, trade dynamics, cost trajectories, and regulation are shaping where low-emissions hydrogen is most likely to scale.
