Georgetown University – Advancing an Inclusive Transition to Renewable Energy

Women’s engagement in renewable energy is a critical entry point to address energy poverty, bolster economic empowerment, and advance climate resilience, especially in fragile and conflict-affected states. From increased opportunities to pursue paid work to improvements in school attendance and educational levels, access to renewable energy improves women’s livelihoods.

Join leaders across government, civil society, and the private sector to discuss the importance of women’s participation in the transition to renewable energy. Panelists will share innovative interventions for advancing gender-responsive climate action and ensure women are both leaders and beneficiaries of renewable energy investments.
