GTI Energy Tech Talk: Scaling Hybrid Building Tech from Defense to Commercial Use
Military installations demand energy systems that can adapt on the fly, perform under stress, and keep critical operations running regardless of external conditions. GTI Energy is delivering on that challenge by developing advanced digital systems that enhance performance, reliability, and energy management.
At the center of this work are chiller plants and hybrid rooftop unit (RTU) systems that combine gas and electric heating technologies with adaptive, AI-enabled controls. These compact, drop-in units respond to shifting weather, utility pricing, and building loads in real time to improve comfort, reduce costs, and support mission continuity.
In this Tech Talk, GTI Energy experts will share how these systems are being deployed and evaluated on U.S. Department of Defense sites, and how their flexible design makes them equally suited for adoption across commercial buildings, municipal facilities, and campus infrastructure. From resilient military bases to energy-smart cities, this discussion will explore how defense-grade innovation is setting a new standard for building performance and adaptability.
