NECEC – Emerging Trends Series: Connecting Energy Justice to Infrastructure Planning

The transition to clean energy is going to require significant investments and deployment of infrastructure equipment – power lines, transformers, and other constructed materials – that will create jobs, and allow renewable and other clean energy resources to connect to the grid. However, it will also result in development and construction that will impact communities, affect landscapes, require complex siting and permitting, and lead to challenging choices. Come join NECEC for a dynamic session that surfaces these challenges and potential solutions. We will bring together a group of expert perspectives to explore these issues and identify pathways for authentic stakeholder engagement that works through the different interests as we move the just, equitable and rapid transition to a clean energy future and diverse climate economy forward.
