New ETC Report: Achieving Zero-Carbon Buildings: Electric, Efficient and Flexible
To mark the launch of the Energy Transitions Commission’s latest report, Achieving Zero-Carbon Buildings: Electric, Efficient and Flexible, we are hosting a webinar. In this panel, you’ll hear global leaders in energy, technology, engineering and policy discuss the cross-sector action needed to accelerate progress in decarbonising both new and existing global buildings.
Specifically, our panellists will be discussing:
– What is needed to tip the dial this decade on the electrification of building heating and uptake of low-cost insulation?
– How can electrified buildings be an asset within a clean energy system?
– How can we meet rising demand for cooling with efficient air conditioning and better building design?
– What is the opportunity to reduce the carbon from new construction through material decarbonisation and building differently?
The ETC’s new report, which will launch on February 4th, draws a complete picture of the buildings sector’s emissions and energy use and describes how a combination of electric, efficient, and flexible solutions can decarbonise buildings, improve standards of living, and reduce energy bills if supported by ambitious policy.
