USEA – Business Innovation Process (BIP) Conference
In 2021 U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the U.S. Energy Association (USEA), launched the Business Innovation Partnership (BIP). The program created a global network of utility thought leaders, designed to assist USAID partner utilities as they navigate some of the most pressing challenges within a rapidly evolving industry.
Over the past year, USAID utility partners have had access to these experts and mentors, as well as online courses. Participants have been prepared for certification in change management and business process innovation, and have elaborated on an action plan to apply the techniques they have learned to a project inside the company. The BIP Conference will celebrate the achievements of these groups, provide updates on action plans and a forum to share lessons learned.
In this session, moderated by Jim Hicks, Opening remarks will come from USEA’s Acting Executive Director, Sheila Hollis, and USAID’s Director of the Center for the Environment, Energy and Infrastructure, Jaidev Singh. Linda Apple of Southern California Edison and Tracey Evers of Tetra Tech will present their business innovation and change management experiences and updates on the latest action plans.
