Women’s Council on Energy & The Environment – Environmental Justice: Federal Policies and Private Sector Responsibilities

The Biden Administration has made environmental justice a key priority across the whole of the federal government, setting out ambitious equity commitments alongside its climate and energy goals. Join WCEE to hear about the administration’s efforts to address environmental justice and equity concerns, and what it means for private sector actors.

Hannah Perls, Staff Attorney at Harvard Law School’s Environmental & Energy Law Program, and Stacey Halliday, Shareholder at environmental law firm Beveridge & Diamond P.C., will provide an update on the Federal government’s environmental justice efforts and lead a discussion about how the private sector is responding to the increased focus on environmental justice.
