Many corporations are now seeking to connect and integrate specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their energy procurement decisions. They are rethinking what makes a project the “best” project to account for avoided emissions, social & environment justice, supply chain sourcing, and local impact. Additionally, most off-takers to date have tackled scope 2 emissions (purchased electricity and heat) via PPAs/ VPPAs.
