Description (excerpt):

Direct emissions reductions alone won’t be enough to help all sectors achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, nor will it allow to stay within the 1.5-degree warming scenario outlined in the Paris Agreement. Carbon dioxide removal (CDR), which involves pulling carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and then securely storing it, can help to get there.

But are corporations operating in Canada prepared to use this effective tool at their disposal? The Pembina Institute’s CDR Centre sent a questionnaire out to organizations that might be interested in CDR to learn about the demographics of interested buyers and identify perceived barriers. This is one of the first public buyer scans in Canada.
