Description (excerpt):

EIRP’s high-level bipartisan Task Force on U.S. Indo-Pacific Energy Strategy produced this comprehensive assessment of the intersection between the ongoing global energy transition and intensifying geopolitical and geoeconomic competition in the strategically important Indo-Pacific region. The report evaluates the roles of innovation, market dynamics and policy responses to climate change in the energy transition and also describes the growing significance of energy technology as a new domain of competition. It presents principles, interests and priorities that should serve as a foundation for U.S. strategy and policy as well as 19 recommendations in areas including critical minerals, nuclear power and proliferation, and U.S. liquified natural gas exports as well as energy research and development cooperation.
