In response to the U.S. Department of Energy’s December 2021 request for information, which asked for input on the creation of a consent-based siting process for spent nuclear waste, OurEnergyPolicy hosted a dialogue examining the challenges of consent-based siting for federal interim nuclear waste. The conversation was structured to include participants from across the political spectrum and to include nuclear experts with extensive experience in government, non-profit organizations, academia, private industry, and innovation.
