Oil demand in JODI-reporting countries was up in April by 1.58 mb/d month-on-month (m/m) and by 1.68 mb/d year-on-year (y/y). The m/m growth was driven mainly by higher demand in the US (+1.4 mb/d), followed by Italy (+293 kb/d), and Turkey(+100 kb/d). The y/y increase was driven mainly by higher crude oil demand from the US (~ +1.4 mb/d), Nigeria (+268 kb/d), Italy (+255 kb/d), Canada (+245 kb/d) and Turkey (+84 kb/d). The global Gasoline demand in the preliminary JODI reporting countries rose by 1.2 mb/d, and Jet Fuel by 346 kb/d, m/m. LPG demand in contrast declined by 287 kb/d, and Diesel by 82 kb/d m/m. Global Crude oil production in JODI-reporting countries rose by 201.8 kb/d m/m and by 1.16 mb/d y/y. The m/m and y/y growth noted an increase of oil production mainly from Nigeria (+85 kb/d), Canada (+61 kb/d), and Saudi Arabia (+48 kb/d). The y/y growth was mainly driven by higher production from Canada (+596 kb/d), Nigeria (+205 kb/d) and the US (+194 kb/d). Crude inventories in JODI-reporting countries were up by 28.3 mb in April m/m, settling at 173.6 mb below the 5-year average. Product inventories were up by 6.6 mb, m/m and settled at 52 mb below the 5-year average.
