DNV’s Energy Industry Insights report – now in its 15th year – explores the confidence, sentiment, and priorities for the energy industry in the year ahead.
The report draws on an annual survey of more than 1,100 senior professionals and a programme of
in-depth interviews with leaders and experts from the energy sector. It is developed and created by teams from DNV and FT Longitude (a Financial Times company).
Research for the report was conducted during February and March 2025. Survey respondents were drawn from across the energy sector, including publicly listed companies and privately held firms, and spanning electrical power, renewables, oil and gas, industry specialists (e.g. in technology, finance, or policy), and industrial energy consumers. The survey respondents represent a range of functions within the sector, from board-level executives to senior engineers.
