An atmospheric scientist, I have worked on problems in climate dynamics, climate monitoring strategy, paleoclimate modeling, and wind power meteorology. I got my PhD. in Meteorology from MIT in 1998, then postdoc'd in Jim Anderson's group at Harvard, before moving to a teaching position at U. Maryland, and now to a Chief Scientist post at a private weather forecasting company.
