Peng Zhang received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. He was a System Planning Engineer at BC Hydro, Vancouver, Canada (2006-2010), where he planned and designed seven wind farms with a total capacity of 2000 MW. Dr. Zhang is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia. He is on the editorial board of Electric Power Components and Systems and Int. Journal of Renewable Energy Technology and served as technical committee member for nine IEEE conferences. He was a review panelist for several programs at National Science Foundation. Dr. Zhang’s research interests are in the general area of smart grid and renewable energy.
