Gunjan Gautam is energy sector practitioner with experiences in renewable energy technologies, smart grids, microgrids, energy efficiency, and access to energy alongside research in electricity, energy and climate change policies. Working at the intersection of engineering and policy, Gunjan has contributed to interdisciplinary initiatives of numerous international agencies including the World Bank, UN-FAO, UN-APCAEM, ADB, and the Asia Foundation. He specializes in research, analysis and writing on new technologies in electric grids, renewable generations, electricity system operations and markets. Further, he has field experiences of deploying distributed PV, micro hydropower, and household cooking technologies. Gunjan has B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and M.Sc. in Public Policy. He is skilled at developing technical, economic and financial models of electricity generation and delivery systems, adept in use of statistical tools, and expert in modeling microgrids.
