Stuart Bernstein is the Founder and Managing Member of Sustainable Capital. He retired as a Partner of Goldman Sachs Group after over 25 years at the firm. He founded the Clean Technology and Renewables Group, which advised, financed and invested in clean technology companies globally. He also ran the Equity Capital Markets business, including the technology, financial institution and real estate verticals. Stuart is a Trustee of the UC Berkeley Foundation and of the California Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. He is also a board member of the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and the Haas School of Business.

Stuart earned a BS, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA and an MPA from the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School, respectively.
