ACEEE’s Self-Scoring Tool: Results from the Community Energy Challenge
In this webinar, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) will describe how communities can use the recently released version of the Self-Scoring Tool (Version 6) to measure their efforts to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions with energy efficiency and clean energy policies and programs. The tool, which places a greater emphasis on racial and social equity, allows communities to assess progress in five policy areas: community-wide initiatives, buildings policies, energy & water utilities, transportation policies, and local government operations.
Attendees will also hear results from the most recent cohort of the Sustainable States Network’s Community Energy Challenge, in which nine communities used the tool to evaluate their energy efficiency and clean energy policy landscapes. The webinar will also feature a look into how these 9 communities compare with the 30 others that originally completed the tool – identifying leaders among all 39 communities. ACEEE will facilitate a conversation on communities’ experiences using the tool and how they plan to use their results.
